Head of Light Entertainment

Zetland Stage Sat 2:30pm

Head Of Light Entertainment are an off-beat, strange-bop, art-rock band from Teesside celebrating (in 2018) ten years of music and mischief making. After releasing three critically acclaimed albums over the last decade, the enigmatic four piece put out their first ever single (Machinery) in April this year, and the song was BBC Tees’s “track of the week” the same month. BBC6 Music are also fans of the band with both Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson playing HOLE songs regularly on their radio shows.

The band have a wealth of live experience, playing up and down the UK to enthusiastic and intrigued audiences. Festival appearances include Twisterella, NARC Fest, Willowman, Crossfest, and Richmond Live 2016! They’ve also played the likes of Dublin Castle (London), Fibbers (York), Georgian Theatre (Stockton), 02 Academy and The Cluny (Newcastle), and Eagle Inn (Manchester).

The Crack magazine described them as “pop mavericks who explode in all manner of musical directions” and it’s kinda true- Head Of Light Entertainment are one-offs, creating something unique to themselves. It’s pop Jim, but not how we know it.
