For the last ten years this group have striven to bring free live music to the people of Richmond and it’s surrounding areas.
But, unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and this year we have found it necessary to introduce a nominal charge for entrance.
This decision, which was not taken lightly, is one, which we have taken in the face of rising costs and a sharp down turn in the country’s economy.
You may be aware that two of this year’s major music festivals, Bedale Rock and the Stanley Blues Festival have been cancelled due to lack of funds. (Our hearts go out to the organisers of these events – you must be gutted, we know we would be!) We faced a very simple choice; either introduce a charge or cancel the show. So this year we will be charging a pound for entrance on the Friday and two for entrance on Saturday (under 12s are free).
We feel that these charges are not excessive and we trust that you will understand that we have done this to ensure the future of one of the shining jewels in Richmond’s cultural calendar.
